Ponsonby students made it into the finals of the National Literacy Quiz for children.

Ponsonby Intermediate appeared on the TV3 News website for supporting Red and Black day, Friday 4th March 2011. The students and staff raised $993 towards the Red Cross appeal for the victims of the February 22nd earthquake in Christchurch.

Ponsonby News (June 2010) has an article of the recent 'Ponsonby's Got Rhythm' talent quest. Ponsonby Intermediate's School Councillors organised this popular fundraising event.
